Rainbows Are Still Collecting Mobile Phones and Used Ink Cartridges to Raise Funds for our Unit.

We have been busy with lots of activities and  sleepovers.....
you can see pictures of us enjoying these here

If you'd like to help with our fundraising, please make your online purchases through either of these  graphics, and although you will still pay the same amounts they will pay us a  commission. Great way to buy your Easter Prezzies :O) Even just using the  easy fundraising search engine can earn money for our Rainbow Unit.

Please don't forget that we are collecting Sainsbury's Active Kids vouchers.  The number of vouchers soon mounts up and will allow us to swap them for play equipment  which we will be giving to the Blagdon Tsunami Project for children in Sri Lanka who were affected by the Tsunami

Rainbows are the youngest members of The Guide Association (Girlguiding UK)  Aged between 5- 7yrs old.  Here in Blagdon, Rainbows meet weekly, please contact us for full details of when and where.

Rainbow units  have 18 girls max with a high ratio of adults to girls. This ensures that each individual is given as much attention and help with activities as possible – and that they are not overwhelmed by large numbers.

Rainbows wear  a special red polo shirt, trousers and jacket. This is available locally please ask your Guider for details.

When you join Blagdon
Rainbows
you will also be given this great booklet and welcome bag.

Rainbow Guides, like all members of The Guide Association, make a promise:

I promise that I will do my best to love my God and to be kind and helpful.

When a Rainbow makes her promise the whole unit joins in and she receives her

Rainbow Guide  Promise badge to  pin onto her uniform.

Being a Rainbow is all about having lots of fun. At our meetings we do lots of things like play games, go outside, make things, sing songs and listen to stories.

Sometimes we go to special places, or have parties. There are always exciting things to do, and it is great seeing your Rainbow friends.

There is also a special National Rainbow Guides Website, with games stories and activities to try.
